The MITB is designed to give you a deep understanding of the drivers of globalization, the process of internationalization, how the global economic environment influences firms’ competitive responses, and how the world is interconnected. This results in graduates ready to deal with the challenges of expanding business into new global markets along with those of managing teams across cultures and continents.

By completing the MITB you will be in a position to identify the motives and means of servicing foreign markets, address controversial issues in international trade & business, formulate your own international business plans, and appreciate the factors that drive performance in the global economy.

The MITB will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to master the complexity required for making decisions in a globalized business environment. It will also add to your breadth of understanding of how global firms operate, prepare you to conduct business in a global context, and embrace emerging issues in international trade and business.

When I first thought about carrying out a Master program in International Trade I had doubts if I could do it and combine it with my work and family, but I needed a professional change. Personally, my favorite area within business was always International Trade. So, I thought that with my language skills and experience I could do something for Andalusian companies, but I needed more knowledge. This challenge gave me the impulse to start. Today I can look back at a great year where I was able to learn from highly qualified professionals and share experiences with my classmates and members of the business school. I enjoyed all the projects and team work activities and I have make good friends and contacts I can reach out to. Today I am just about to establish my own little business to support Andalusian companies with their export activities.

  • Train the student for the analysis of issues and situations that will require afterwards a decision making for the export and import of goods and services. Also, design, plan and lead the execution of the actions in relation to the international trade minimizing the costs and the risk.
  • Develop personal skills to be able to lead the execution of the planning through a vision and style based on multicultural and global environments.
  • Encourage the enrichment and the comparison of the criteria of action of the student in the workplace with the ones indicated by the teachers and other class mates.

Alliance with ESIC

The business schools “Escuela Internacional de Gerencia” and “ESIC” do have an agreement to provide together post-graduate studies addressed to company’s professionals in Granada.

ESIC is one of the 4 business schools of recognized prestige in Spain. The Merco report is the most prestigious Spanish ranking that measures the corporate reputation of the Spanish Companies. The report does list the 100 Spanish Companies with the highest corporate reputation after carrying out a survey with a representative sample of the economic world and national business. Apart from ESIC only 3 other business schools are mentioned in this report, Instituto de Empresa, IESE and ESADE.

This guarantees that any Managing Director or HR Manager of any Spanish company knows and recognizes ESIC as one of the most important Business Schools of the country.

Select a Master

The first basic step is that the candidate has a clear view towards the own personal and professional objectives. This means what do we want to be from a personal and professional aspect and what career path do we have to follow to get there? There are many people who come over to receive guidance from us and remain wordless by that question. This is not an issue as we are able to assist you clarifying your ideas.

Regarding the type of mater, there do exist two different types:

Specialized training programs: These are masters that are generally focused on a very particular topic that usually matches with one of the functional areas of the company, meaning our Master program in Marketing and Commercial Management (GESCO), Master program in Financial Management (MDF) and Master program in International Trade Management (MDCI). Furthermore, the usual attendees do have either professional experience and are interested in getting this specialization or they are in the first phase of their professional careers and need this specialization to provide added value to their companies.

Management programs: These are programs for people with relevant business experience or that do want to manage a company. They are usually directed towards executive and middle managers also in general to people who whish to develop professionally towards general management. Our courses are MBA Executive and MBA Part-time.

1. Not all are the same: Although at a first sight it could seem the contrary, it´s far from being so and not true. The prestige of the school is something that companies look at very carefully before making a hiring. Also, the study programs should be chosen taking into consideration the companies we are looking for.

2. Sow to reap: To do a master requires time and money that´s why it should be considered as a long-term investment. But be careful as it does not mean that the more expensive the better the studies will be.

3. Be informed is key: It is essential to gather enough information about the centers where you wish to carry out the study program. The best is to visit them personally to get an idea of their functioning and installations. Also, to read all the information of the final contract and do not forget the small print.

4. Objective opinion: Without any doubt, the person who can inform you the best about the School is a former student. The best is to get in contact with several of them by own means and ask them many questions. They are the ones who can tell you about the usefulness of a Master program.

La dirección académica, el programa y el título obtenido son de ESIC, de forma que los programas impartidos son los mismos que se dan en Madrid o en cualquier otra sede de ESIC.

ESIC es miembro de la AEEDE, Asociación de Escuelas de Negocios de España, organización que incluye a las 12 Escuelas de Negocios más importantes de España y que nace con el objetivo marcar unas reglas y ordenación mínima en la formación master de calidad.
